Escape routine, relax and unwind
It’s a holiday where you can do almost nothing for a weekend or a few days. Once you are set-up, you don’t have to worry about cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping or any other tasks that consume our everyday lives. A time to recharge and reflect in the fresh air.
Discover the great outdoors
There is so much beauty in the outdoors from breathtaking mountains perfect for hiking to rivers and lakes ideal for canoeing, kayaking and swimming and when was the last time you admired a pitch black sky dotted with brightly shining stars or waking up to the sound of birds?
Spend quality time with the family
Reconnect with the family as it’s a chance for everyone to turn off the mobile phones, computers, ipads and other electronics to just sit back and relax. Sitting around the campsite with family and friends provides the perfect environment.
Teach and learn new skills
There are several skills to learn and teach including safety from setting up your site including pitching a tent, or leveling a caravan; building a campfire and teach your kids how to be safe around one; fishing and navigation. Other skills can include how to protect yourself from mosquitoes and other insects, as well as experience how little you really can do without. The environment can teach resilience and teaches us about our strengths and weaknesses.
It’s a pet-friendly holiday
It can be a holiday for the entire family, including the four-legged members. A range of holiday parks are pet- friendly but it is recommended to check the rules and regulations of each establishment prior to arriving.
Have fun cooking outdoors
Cooking outdoors means even if you make a mess, there will thankfully be little clean-up to worry about afterwards. Another bonus is you can experience simple foods such as hot dogs, hamburgers, and of course, toasting marshmallows over the campfire. Get creative!
Daily activities such as bushwalking, biking and swimming adds to the benefits of exercise.
It’s an affordable holiday
One of the most economical choices for a family holiday. Groceries can be bought ahead of time and once you’ve settled into the site, there is no need to go anywhere else.
Meet new people
Great opportunity to meet like-minded people and share experiences, product ideas and locations.
Create lasting memories
Caravan and camping holidays can provide the most memorable experiences due to the environment, company and activities shared.
