Reflections Lake Burrendong – Holiday Park

Situated on the western shore of Lake Burrendong, this park gives access to one of NSW largest and most important inland waterways. It is an excellent base from which to explore the Wellington, Dubbo, Orange and surrounding Orana region. Take the short drive to the dam wall and walk across it for great views of the valley and lake.

For day trippers or for those staying longer, our kiosk sells hot food, cold drinks, coffee, ice, fishing gear and bait, Swap ‘n’ Go gas, sunscreen and other goodies. Pick up your goods for a picnic or for your camp or caravan site.

Lake Burrendong offers year around attractions for fishing enthusiasts, nature lovers, bushwalkers, campers, fossickers and picnickers. The Park is ideal for boating, sailing, swimming and water skiing during the spring and summer months.  There is also a water-slide and swimming pools for all age fun – right next to the kiosk. Fuel (Diesel and ULP) is available on the park 24/7.

Rod and reel enthusiasts will be thrilled with the fishing. Redfin are a top catch along with abundant Catfish, Murray Cod and Golden Perch (yellow belly). Try your luck catching some yabbies along the shoreline. It’s easy and great fun for the kids and they are just the thing to cook on the open fire.

The park has a tennis court, picnic and BBQ areas, and miles of hills and valleys for bushwalking, bird watching, camping and fossicking. Your dog can come along too. Please make sure your dog is on a leash at all times and you pick up after them.

Established over 50 years ago, Burrendong Botanic Gardens and Arboretum just across the road from the park, specialises in creating ecosystems with native plants; the fern gully is just beautiful. Subtropical vegetation, native animals and local bird life are all around and a visit to the lookout is well worthwhile.

And don’t forget, its not just summer fun. Winter is a great time to watch the mist in the valley, enjoy a hot coffee and a camp fire, smell the wattle in August and just enjoy the peaceful landscape.
