Camping is for relaxing and slowing down so here are 5 tricks to make your meal times easier.


Instead of buying bags of ice for the esky, freeze jugs or large containers of ice to keep your food cold longer and also use the melted ice for water.


Pack a roll of aluminium foil as most food items can be cooked wrapped in foil.


Store your seasoning and spices in empty tic tac boxes.


To prevent broken eggs, crack them into a bottle or jar prior to leaving home.


Cook most food items over the fire from corn, potato cubes, meat, kebabs, banana, scones or bread buns and of course marshmallows.
