It’s been a marathon journey that’s taken almost four years and cost more than $1.5M but the new waterslides at North Star Holiday Resort at Hastings Point is a hit with holidaymakers.
Standing alongside North Star’s popular Sammy’s Adventure Lagoon, the two new 8.2 metre high tubular water slides add water- fuelled fun at every twist and turn as you spiral your way more than 60 metres down to poolside landing platforms below.
The slides feature new technology such as built-in clear screens and the slide experience comes with an element of surprise, with a dramatic ‘disco light’ effect on the way down created by natural light shining through colours surrounding the tubes.
Kids can spend their days charging between Sammy’s Adventure Lagoon, the new slides and Neptune’s Castle kids’ club; all these attractions are completely free for guests. The beach and estuary is also just a few minutes’ walk from all accommodation at North Star.
