Scone, a charming country town in the Upper Hunter, is known as the horse capital of Australia, with more than 70 studs dotting the shire. The regional thoroughbred industry is said to be second only to Kentucky in size and value.

Touring Routes

Tourist Drive 33 is the scenic gateway to the spectacular Hunter Valley stretching from the Peats Ridge exit on the M1 near Sydney, to Branxton in the heart of wine country along the historic Great North Road. More information
